Craig Morgan has given his first public statement about the loss of his 19-year-old son Jerry Greer, who passed away following a boating accident on July 10. In a message posted on Facebook Wednesday afternoon (7/20), Morgan called the loss of his son “the hardest thing we have ever had to endure as a family.” Craig then expressed his gratitude to all the people who’ve supported them during this difficult time, including everyone who assisted in the massive search for Jerry after he went missing as well as those in the music and outdoor communities who’ve expressed their sentiments.

·       Craig then wrapped up the message by saying, “Jerry may be gone from this earth, and we will miss him every day, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. We will find peace knowing that God has a bigger plan, and that one day, we’ll be reunited with him again in Heaven. John 3:16.”

Craig Morgan is getting ready to host the second annual Billy’s Place 5k on August 22nd from Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, Tennessee. The 5k Road Race will benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation, supporting foster children in Dickson County and throughout middle Tennessee.
