Cam Signs Open Letter To Congress In An Effort To Stop Gun Violence

Cam is among the nearly 200 artists and music industry executives who have signed Billboard’s open letter to Congress asking for more to be done to stop gun violence. Written in the wake of the recent tragedies in Orlando, the letter calls on Congress to pass legislation that will require a background check for every gun sale and block suspected terrorists from buying guns. The letter also includes signatures from the Dixie Chicks and Rosanne Cash, as well as Big Machine Label Group President Scott Borchetta and Warner Music Nashville CEO John Esposito. Some of the other artists who’ve signed the letter are Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Britney Spears and many more.

The Band Perry Parts Ways With Big Machine Label Group

The Band Perry and Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) have parted ways. The sibling trio announced the news on Facebook Tuesday (3/1) in a statement that said, “We and Big Machine Label Group have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close. We are grateful for six years of the big moment and great strides we made with our BMLG family and will carry that foundation forward with us as we begin the next leg of our journey.”
