Southeast Iowa Man Injured in Jefferson County Motorcycle vs Deer Accident

LOCKRIDGE – A motorcycle versus deer accident in Jefferson County resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to a Keokuk man.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident occurred on Tuesday, August 25, at around 8:36 PM. Emergency personnel were dispatched to Highway 34 east of Lockridge.

First responders arrived on scene 11 minutes later and provided medical care to the motorcycle’s driver and sole occupant, 45-year-old Michael Moore of Keokuk. Moore reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Henry County Health Center for further treatment.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Jefferson County Ambulance Service and Lockridge Fire and Rescue.
