The Pella Community School Board held a regular meeting last night and approved their certified budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Following a public hearing, the board approved their proposed property tax rate of $14.60 per $1,000 of valuation, which is approximately 36 cents lower than the current rate. According to the district, this should allow for roughly $8,148 in funding per-pupil.

The board also discussed summer projects from the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy and SAVE sales tax revenue and confirmed that the last day of school is set for Friday, May 22, with graduation scheduled for Saturday, May 23. 

The next regular meeting for the Pella Community School Board is scheduled for April 27.
