Osky baseball drops extra inning game

Back to back heartbreakers for the Oskaloosa High baseball team.  Seventh-ranked Centerville defeated the Indians 4-3 in eight innings Wednesday night (7/10) in Oskaloosa ….and just like Tuesday night’s (7/9) loss to Fairfield, the Indians led most of the game.  Tyler Miller’s two run single capped off a three run rally in the second inning to give the Indians a 3-1 lead.  That held up until the top of the seventh, when Centerville took advantage of two Oskaloosa errors to score twice and tie the game at three.  Then in the eighth, Centerville got the winning run on an error by second baseman Cole Kraber.  Colton Butler took the loss for the Indians; Tyler Miller went 4 for 4 with two runs batted in.  Centerville improves to 20-3 on the year; Oskaloosa is now 18-10.  The Indians will host Pella Christian Thursday night (7/11) in a makeup doubleheader. Those games will start at 5:30 at Lacey Recreation Complex.  Once again, Oskaloosa baseball is at Lacey Recreation Complex Thursday with the doubleheader starting at 5:30.
