OSKALOOSA SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH PROCEEDS

Oskaloosa superintendent search proceeds

The recruiting firm hired to find a new Oskaloosa School Superintendent held public meetings last week to get an idea of what people want in a new superintendent.  Current superintendent Paula Wright is stepping down at the end of the school year.  Linda Brock with GR Recruiting talks about the public comments she has heard.

“They want to see honesty, a moral person, a person who leads by example that’s not afraid to get in there and get their hands dirty and joins with them and helps. Someone that listens to all opinions, then forms their decisions on what is in the best interests of students and the district.”

The information Brock has been gathering will be brought to the Oskaloosa School Board later this week to create a profile to be used in advertising for the superintendent position.
