The Oskaloosa Indians football team played their final road game of the 2026 season on Friday night against the Pella Dutch and fell in a lopsided game, 42-6.
The Dutch controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and were dominant throughout the contest. Pella forced a running clock with over 3 minutes remaining in the second quarter when they extended their lead to 35-0 with a 60 yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Logan VanDenBroek. VanDenBroek was one of the main stars for the Dutch in the game, hauling in 5 receptions for 132 yards and a TD.
Oskaloosa’s offense was unable to get much going against Pella’s stout defense. The Dutch entered the contest having allowed under 8 points per game, and Oskaloosa’s only points came from a 25-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Edgar to Cael Ashman in the 3rd quarter to cut the lead to 42-6.
The Indians (0-7) will remain at home for their final two games of the season. On Friday, they will host Marion for their penultimate contest of the campaign.
