The Oskaloosa city council held a regular meeting last night and formally dissolved the South Central Regional Airport project.

The resolution to dissolve the project was passed unanimously by the council, and with its passage, the city has formally notified the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of its intent to discontinue the project. 

The Pella city council will hold a vote on whether they wish to discontinue the project at their next regular meeting this evening. The SCRAA itself will then meet on Wednesday to discuss a similar resolution.

The next regular meeting for the Oskaloosa city council is scheduled for November 16.
