Tuesday night (7/6), the Oskaloosa City Council will consider entering into a grant agreement with the Mahaska Chamber and Development Group where the City would use Tax Increment Financing revenue to pay for services the Chamber provides. This would be a maximum of $100,000 per year over ten years. The Council will also vote on applying for a $100,000 grant from the Iowa DOT to study the feasibility of improving rail facilities in the area.
