The Oskaloosa city council held a regular meeting last night. The council held a public hearing for a resolution to amend their budget for Fiscal Year 2027. The resolution amended the city’s total revenue to over $70.3 million, an increase of roughly $1.5 million. It also amended the city’s total expenditures to roughly $75.3 million, an increase of approximately $5.3 million. City staff said that the amendment was due to increased expenses in projects and grant disbursements, including the Natatorium Completion Project and transfers to support the CORE Downtown Improvement Program and additional Wastewater project expenditures. No comments were received during the public hearing and the resolution was approved unanimously.
The next Oskaloosa city council meeting is scheduled for September 21.
