MARION COUNTY – Authorities in Marion County arrested an Osceola woman last week after she allegedly drove the wrong way on Highway 92 and nearly caused a head-on collision.

Court documents state that the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call shortly after midnight on Friday, July 17, in which the caller reported a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 92 in Marion County. Law enforcement located the vehicle near exit 62, but the driver reportedly continued to travel the wrong way after officers turned on their emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle nearly collided with an eastbound vehicle head-on before stopping near 70th Avenue, west of Knoxville.

Deputies then reported seeing alcohol containers and THC containers in plain view inside the driver’s vehicle, and when a probable cause search was executed, THC vape pens were allegedly found in the rear of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 19-year-old Trinity Miller Lagat of Osceola, and she was arrested following the investigation. An additional THC pen similar to those found in the vehicle was discovered on her person as she was being apprehended.

Miller Lagat faces a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana, First Offense, a serious misdemeanor. She is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a $1000 bond.
