Ottumwa school officials say students are safe after a threat was discovered at Evans Middle School.  In a letter sent to parents, Ottumwa Superintendent Nicole Kooiker said this was written on a bathroom wall at the middle school: “On January 7, I am shooting up the school.”  There were additional Ottumwa Police officers on hand at Evans Middle School on Tuesday (1/7).  There were no incidents.  It still isn’t known who made the threat or when.
