Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum is gearing up to host its 56th annual Fall Festival this month. To get the details, we spoke with curator Margaret Spiegel, who said that this event shows the farm and museum in its full glory.

The Fall Festival is happening on September 17th. Tickets are available the day of the event at the gate, but you can also pre-buy tickets online. It’s $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids 5 and under. It’s also free for members of the Mahaska County Historical Society.
