The Mahaska County Conservation Board invites adults of any age to the monthly O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Souls) lunch and learn program on Friday, October 21st from 11:30 am -12:30pm at the Mahaska County Environmental Learning Center at Caldwell Park.
This month’s topic will be about the “Owls of Iowa” and the guest speaker will MCCB’s Naturalist, Laura DeCook. She will share information about the different species of owls found in Iowa and what makes them great hunters. You will also be able to listen to the different calls made by owls.
Bring a lunch and a friend! This program will begin at 11:30 am and lunch time (bring your own lunch) can be eaten during the presentation.
