On this day in 1999, the Dixie Chicks were at the top of the Billboard country chart with “You Were Mine”.  The song was released as the fourth single from the album Wide Open Spaces.

It also placed 34th on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop singles chart, and reached third place on Canada’s country music chart.
