MAJOR TAKES PLEA DEAL IN JULY SHOOTING

Major takes plea deal in July shooting

An Albia man has reached a plea deal in an attempted murder case.  22-year-old Shain Major had been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony.  He has pleaded guilty in Wapello County Court to intimidation with a dangerous weapon and will serve a ten year sentence.  Last July, Major shot at a man at an Ottumwa apartment; he did not hit the intended victim.  Two others involved in the case, Stacey Crabbe of Albia and Skyler Stokes of Ottumwa, are also charged with attempted murder and two other charges.
