Jordan Albert Inks with WPU

Oskaloosa–William Penn University Men’s Golf Coach Steve Tucker has announced the signing of Jordan Albert to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the men’s golf program.

A native of Sigourney (graduated from Sigourney HS), Jordan is the son of Kirk and Cindy Albert.  He spent this past year at Iowa Central CC and will be a sophomore in the fall.

As a prep, Albert was a sectional and district champion as a senior.  As a district champion, he qualified for the state tournament.  He was also named a first-team all-conference performer as a senior.

“I am very excited about both the academic and golf opportunities offered by William Penn,” Albert said.  “I am really looking forward to the next three years!”

A multi-sport athlete, Albert was all-conference selection in baseball and basketball and was an all-district pick in football.  He twice qualified for state in track and field as a member of the 4×100 and 4×200-meter relay teams.  Albert was also a member of the National Honor Society.

“It is great to have Jordan join our program,” Tucker said.  “He is the type of multi-sport athlete who fits into our system.  Watch for some really good things from him.”
