It’s already well-documented that Jelly Roll is an accomplished inspirational speaker (see any of his awards acceptance speeches for proof of that). Recently he took those talents and applied them to his son Noah’s flag football squad. After what was apparently a hard-fought loss, Jelly addressed the team. “Hey listen man, this is part of it, baby. You have good days and you have bad days, but above everything, you have fun and you stick together,” he told them. “Y’all remember, y’all are a team and y’all figure out how to get tighter and be better together, right? That’s all right though.” He then asked the squad, “Did y’all have fun out there today?” The boys shouted back, “Yes sir!” “Did y’all learn something out there today?” They again answered with a “Yes sir!” “Well, it was a good day in the sun as far as I’m concerned,” Jelly continued. “The philosophy we have from this day forward: the Tigers don’t lose, the Tigers learn. Is that a deal?”
