Fire destroyed a home in rural Blakesburg Thursday morning (10/8).  Blakesburg firefighters were called around 3:15am Thursday to a report of smoke and flames at a home on 225^th Avenue.  The couple inside the home was able to escape without injury.  The home is considered a total loss.
