FAIRFIELD – A Fairfield woman was arrested on Friday night for an alleged assault.

According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of West Harrison Avenue on Friday, September 25, at approximately 10:53 PM, for a report of a domestic disturbance involving a weapon.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individuals involved and conducted an investigation. They reportedly obtained evidence that substantiated the report that the suspect had displayed a dangerous weapon during the assault.

As a result of the investigation, officers arrested 36-year-old Julia Irene Davis. Davis is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was transported to the Jefferson County Jail, where she was held pending an initial court appearance.
