EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FOR LISTENING AREA

Excessive Heat Warning in effect for listening area

It’s now an Excessive Heat Warning that is covering the No Coast Network listening area.  The warning goes into effect at 1pm Wednesday (7/17)and continues through Saturday evening (7/20).  The National Weather Service says a combination of dangerously hot temperatures in the 90s and dewpoints in the 70s will make it feel like it’s between 100 and 110 degrees.  That combination of heat and humidity can lead to heat-related illnesses.  The best advice is to stay indoors in an air-conditioned room, drink plenty of fluids, and if you have to work outdoors, take breaks in the shade. Also, you might want to check on elderly neighbors and relatives.   And make sure your pets have enough water, too.
