The 29-day “early voting” period in Iowa starts Monday (10/5). More than 600-thousand Iowans have asked auditors to mail them a ballot and those ballots will be mailed out Monday.
In Mahaska County, in-person absentee voting will be conducted in a temporary voting building that has been placed directly in front of the Mahaska County Courthouse. This building is open weekdays from 8am to 4:30pm and this coming Saturday (10/10) from 8am until noon. Saturday hours will vary through the month.
