On Saturday, May 6th , the Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont Concert Band, and EBF Rocket Chorale performed at State Large Group Contest at Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman. Bands and choirs at the contest were evaluated in several categories by a panel of three judges. The music groups were rated on their performances using a scale of 1 through 5. An I rating indicates a superior performance.

The EBF Concert Band earned an I rating and the choir was one point away from an I rating. The band had the honor of performing for two former Iowa Bandmasters Association presidents and also the president-elect of the Iowa Bandmasters Association.

The EBFHS Concert Band received straight division I ratings and a perfect score from one judge. The choir performance was amazing. Everyone should be very proud of our band and choir.

The EBFHS Band is directed by Joe Overton and the EBFHS Choir is directed by Chris Ellerston.
