MARION COUNTY – A Des Moines man faces a felony charge after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase in Marion County.
Court documents show that the incident occurred on Monday when 49-year-old Michael Hobart was clocked by a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy driving southbound on County Highway S-45 at 107 miles per hour in a 60 MPH zone. The deputy activated their emergency lights and sirens and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Hobart allegedly continued southbound at a high rate of speed.
