DAYTONA TO RECOGNIZE MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS

Daytona To Recognize Medal Of Honor Recipients

Daytona International Speedway will once again salute three recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor during this year’s Coke Zero 400 Weekend Powered by Coca-Cola. One of the honorees served in the Vietnam War and the two others in Afghanistan.

They are: Command Sergeant Major Gary Littrell, U.S. Army, Staff Sergeant Ty Carter, U.S. Army,and Captain Florent Groberg, also U.S. Army. This is the eighth consecutive year the Speedway has honored Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.

They’ll be recognized during a special luncheon, will attend drivers meetings, and participate in pre-race ceremonies for both the Subway Firecracker 250 X-FINITY Series race on Friday, July 1st, and the Coke Zero 400 Powered by Coca-Cola Sprint Cup race on Saturday, July 2nd. They’ll also take part in an autograph session in the Sprint FAN ZONE on Saturday before that night’s Cup Series event.
