A second person from Poweshiek County has died from coronavirus.  The Iowa Department of Public Health says the person who died is an elderly adult, aged 81 or over.  That death is one of nine new deaths from coronavirus announced Monday (4/27) by the Department of Public Health.  In all, 127 Iowans have died from COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 392 new coronavirus cases were reported Monday for a total of 5868 during the pandemic.  Eight of those new cases are in Jasper County, bringing that county’s total for the pandemic to 91.  And there is one new case in Wapello County making it ten cases in Wapello County.
