Coronavirus update

Here’s the latest on the coronavirus outbreak.  Seven more people in Iowa have died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s total for the pandemic to 60, as of Thursday (4/16).  One of those deaths was an elderly adult in Tama County.

Meanwhile, six new coronavirus cases have been reported in Jasper County as of Thursday: two adults aged 18 to 40, two adults aged 41 to 60 and two adults aged 61 to 80.  And one new case is reported in Poweshiek County to an adult aged 18 to 40.

In all, another 146 new positive coronavirus cases were reported Thursday for a total of 2141.  An additional 660 people have tested negative for the virus and 987 Iowans have recovered from coronavirus.
