BREAKING NEWS: Rescue Attempt in Rose Hill

From the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office:

On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at approximately 12:11 PM, the Mahaska County E911 Center received an E911 call from a female who stated that she could not locate her husband who had been mowing. The mower was located in the pond at the residence of 3234 235th Street, Rose Hill, Iowa.

The body of a male was located near the mower by rescue personnel. name of victim is being withheld pending notification of extended family.

The following departments involved with the attempt/rescue were Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, Oskaloosa Fire Department and What Cheer Fire Department.
