Rascal Flatts’ “Life Is A Highway” Joins The Spotify Billions Club
Rascal Flatts has just joined a very exclusive group. Their 2006 single “Life Is A Highway” just crossed the billion streams plateau on Spotify, making the song one of only 17 country songs in the Spotify Billions Club. The song was originally a rock and pop hit for Canadian musician Tom Cochrane in 1992; Flatts covered it for the soundtrack for the Pixar film “Cars,” where it became not only a country but a pop hit as well. Over 1,300 songs have reached the one billion mark on Spotify, but oddly, only 17 of these are country. With “Life Is A Highway” the latest to cross that threshold, the song now becomes the oldest country song to do so.
Will The Florida Georgia Line Reunion Result In A Tour?
As the dust settles after last month’s epic Florida Georgia Line reunion concert at CMA Fest, the question remains: what next? There have been indications the appearance wasn’t just a one-off, with the duo signing a new management deal, but what does that mean for fans? Possibly very good things. In a discussion with radio station “US99,” Tyler Hubbard was asked what the future holds for the legendary act. “I would say we got some things in the works for next year. We’re excited, BK (Brian Kelley) and I have been hanging out, having a good time, and you know, kind of itching to get back on-stage.” And about that: “So we’ll probably put some shows together next year, and that’s about as much as we’ve planned at this point. But we’re both excited, it’s gonna be a fun year next year.” FGL fans, stay tuned.

Megan Moroney Gets Into The Fragrance Business
It seems that once a performer’s star has risen to a certain height, you either get involved with your own brand of liquor, your own bar, or your own fragrance. Megan Moroney is apparently at that point, and she went with the third option, announcing her new perfume, “Calliope.” In a statement on the official fragrance website, Moroney said, “I’ve spent the last year and a half hand crafting the concept, scent and design of Calliope. Songwriting has been my way of making sense of life’s highs and lows. Every song I write comes from a real moment, a feeling, or a memory, and my hope has always been that by sharing those pieces of myself, someone else feels a little less alone. I truly believe that the experiences we carry, both the beautiful and the heartbreaking, become part of who we are. I think fragrance has the power to do the very same.” Calliope is launching direct-to-consumer first before reportedly arriving at retail stores later this summer.
