Kenny Chesney Could Be Revealing Big 2025 News Tomorrow
Kenny Chesney has been teasing a next-level 2025 for fans, and it could be we find out what that means as early as tomorrow. The singer is not only set to appear on “TODAY” during the 8 am hour tomorrow, but tomorrow night he’ll appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as the “lead guest.” In a statement, Kenny said, “…This year is going to be unlike any other. This is one time when I probably do need to get out and explain exactly what we’re up to. But for now, I can say this: I am incredibly ramped up about what we’re in the middle of making happen for 2025. It’s one of those things where you can’t just throw it out there – so I am really glad we’re getting to spend some time at ‘TODAY,’ then ‘The Tonight Show.’” Hopefully we will know a LOT more tomorrow.
Cody Johnson Scores Big With 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tourney
Cody Johnson‘s “2nd Annual Cody Johnson Charity Golf Tournament” was a huge success. While the tourney took place last month in Las Vegas during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, the numbers are just now coming in. Johnson and the 28 teams that participated in the tournament raised just shy of $298-thousand for various charities: Resistol’s Cowboys Who Care Foundation (which gifts cowboy hats to children nationwide that are battling cancer and other diseases), Wrangler’s Bucking Cancer Initiative (which provides assistance to families battling pediatric cancer), and the Different Day Foundation (supporting women who were previously exploited or were involved in prostitution).

Shaboozey Postpones Grand Ole Opry Debut Over Cali Wildfires
It takes a lot to postpone a huge career milestone, but the California wildfires are a lot. Shaboozey was set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut this coming Saturday, obviously a big moment in his young career. However, he lives in California, and the wildfires are forcing him to postpone his Opry debut as he deals with the situation back home. Shaboozey’s appearance was to be part of the 3rd annual celebration of Dolly Parton‘s birthday, and that will go on as scheduled…just without Shaboozey.

Granted, we’re only 25 years into the new millennium, but Billboard has decided to put out their list of the Top 200 albums of the 21st century. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, or any other pop, rock or hip hop stars will have to take a back seat to Morgan Wallen, at least for the present. His “Dangerous: The Double Album” was dubbed the biggest album of the last 25 years. Before Swifties and members of the Bey Hive lose their collective minds, this is actually on them; the list is compiled based on an album’s performance on Billboard’s weekly charts from January 1, 2000, through December 28, 2024…and that means sales. - Today in 1949, Loretta Webb married Oliver “Mooney” Lynn in Butcher Holler, Kentucky. Mooney gave Loretta her first guitar, became her first manager, and inspired some of her feisty music. They were married until his death in 1996.
- Today in 1952, Audrey Williams filed for divorce from Hank Williams for the second time in four years. Married since 1944, she meant it this time – their divorce was finalized the following July.
- Today in 1980, Crystal Gayle’s “Miss the Mississippi” album became the first country release to receive a gold record throughout the ‘80s.

Country To Be Well Represented At Bonnaroo With Luke Combs, Red Clay Strays And More
Country music is becoming more inclusive, and apparently popular music is welcoming the country genre more these days as well. Bonnaroo announced its lineup yesterday, and country music will be well-represented at the iconic festival. Bonnaroo 2025 is slated to run from June 12-15 in Manchester, Tennessee, and Luke Combs, The Red Clay Strays, Marcus King, Treaty Oak Revival, Jessie Murph, Flatland Cavalry and Alexandra Kay will all be taking the stage, along with less country acts like Tyler the Creator, Megadeth, Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, Hozier, Vampire Weekend, Queens Of The Stone Age and many more.
