Meet the H & S Feed & Country Store Pet of the Week: “Samson”

Our H & S Feed & Country Store Pet of the Week this week is “Samson”, an energetic 2 and a half year old Pit Bull mix. Samson loves to play with tennis balls, and he is completely housebroken. He gets along well with adults, but not so much with small kids and cats. Samson is still looking for his forever home, so if you’d like to set up an appointment to meet him, call Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa at 641-673-3991.

Check out our conversation about Samson with Terry Gott from Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter here:

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani say they want to wed

It looks like Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are ready to make things legal. A source tells “Us Weekly” that they want to get married but they are waiting for the coronavirus social distancing requirements to end.

“COVID-19 has turned their world upside down, as it has with so many families,” a source says. “Gwen knows she is blessed and wants to have the wedding as soon as social distancing guidelines are lifted.”

Previous reports claimed Gwen was waiting until she was able to get her first marriage to Gavin Rossdale annulled but the source says now the coronavirus has “changed Gwen’s feelings about getting the annulment and getting married.”

“Gwen wants to have a ceremony and reception with their family and friends. She didn’t wait this long to get married with family watching on Zoom,” the source shares. “It has made her realize that waiting for the annulment at this point is just futile because it could take years for the church tribunal to issue the decision.”

Brad Paisley Surprises Best Friends With A Call, Beer & More

Brad Paisley has treated two friends whose recent social media post went viral to quite a huge surprise.

Amid the protests over racial injustice and the George Floyd killing, the two buddies, Benjamin Smith, a white man, and Marcus Ellis, a black man, recently shared a photo of them chilling in the driveway of Smith’s Rochester home, with a message of peace that simply read, “black or white, relax and have a beer.”

The photo soon went viral, thanks to a report on the local CBS affiliate, which is how Brad got wind of it and he decided to reach out to the pair. He had hundreds of dollars worth of beer from AJ’s Beer Warehouse sent to them this weekend, and then got on a virtual call with the pair. Brad also performed his latest single for them, the very appropriate “There’s No I In Beer.”

“Man, I am so thrilled to meet you, face to face like this,” Brad said. “I’m so inspired by you, and we thought we should deliver more beer than you could possibly drink. This is going to be a popular destination on this street.”
