Jake Owen Engaged
Congratulations are in order for Jake Owen. The singer and longtime girlfriend Erica Hartlein are engaged. According to “People” Jake popped the question on Monday, and he seemed to confirm the news on his Instagram Story although he didn’t outright announce it.
First, Jake posted a picture of him, Erica and their 19-month-old daughter Paris, with Erica showing off the new bling on her finger. Then he followed that up with a picture of his dirt-stained jeans, with the caption, “dat durrrty knee,” suggesting he got down on one knee to make things official.
Jake and Erica have been together since 2017. They welcomed daughter Paris in April 2019. Jake is also dad to daughter Pearl, who recently turned eight.

Brad Paisley To Help Elf On The Shelf Kick Off The Holiday Season
Brad Paisley is helping Elf on the Shelf kick off the holiday season by participating in “The Elf on the Shelf’s Night Before Christmas Storytime,” kicking of tomorrow on the Elf on the Shelf’s YouTube channel.
Brad will narrate a tale about one Scout Elf’s Christmas Eve mission to serve up the perfect Christmas Eve, which needs a little help from Santa to keep it from being a disaster.
“Around our house, the Christmas season is full of family time and fun traditions,” Brad shares. “One of my favorites is waking up every morning to discover what kind of happiness and hoopla The Elf on the Shelf Scout Elves got in to while we were asleep.” He adds, “ Our Scout Elves, Snowflake and Pinocchio, know how to make the holidays a time of joy, celebration and craziness.”

Lineup For “Christmas In Rockefeller Center” Revealed
A star-studded lineup is going to help New York ring in the Christmas season. NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” will air next week, and not only will the lights be switched on the famous New York tree, but several musicians will be performing some holiday classics and originals.
Performers confirmed for this year’s special include Dolly Parton with Jimmy Fallon, Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldredge, Goo Goo Dolls, Dan + Shay, Meghan Trainor with Earth, Wind & Fire, Gwen Stefani, Pentatonix, Tori Kelly, and Leslie Odom, Jr.
In addition, the Radio City Rockettes will make an appearance, and the cast of the Tony Award-winning show, “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” will perform.
NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” airs December 2nd at 8 pm.
Grand Ole Opry Member Hal Ketchum Dies
Grand Ole Opry member Hal Ketchum died Monday from complications from dementia. The singer-songwriter was 67.
“With great sadness and grief we announce that Hal passed away peacefully last night at home due to complications of Dementia,” his wife Andrea shared on Facebook. “May his music live on forever in your hearts and bring you peace.”
Hal is probably best known for his 1991 hit single “Small Town Saturday Night,” one of his many Top Five hits. Others included “Past the Point of Rescue,” “Sure Love,” “Hearts Are Gonna Roll,” “Mama Knows the Highway,” and “Stay Forever.” He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1994.
