B.J. Thomas Dies
Singer B.J. Thomas passed away Saturday at the age of 78. He announced back in March that he diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
B.J. was best known for singing the “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” song “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head.” The tune, written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, became his first number one song.
He also had a hit with his 1968 cover of Hank Williams’ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” which spent 13 weeks on the Hot 100, as well as “Hooked On A Feeling,” which landed in the Top Five. He also is known for singing the “Growing Pains” theme song with Jennifer Warnes.
He is the winner of five GRAMMY Awards, all for religious-themed music. He transitioned into gospel music after becoming a born-again Christian in 1976.

Florida Georgia Line Announce “I Love My Country Tour”
Florida Georgia Line is ready to return to the road. The duo just announced dates for their new “I Love My Country Tour,” featuring special guests Russell Dickerson, Lauren Alaina and Redferrin.
“Touring is back, y’all! This is the longest we’ve gone without being on the road, and we’ve been counting down the days until we can finally say – we’re going on tour!,” Tyler Hubbard shares, while Brian Kelley adds, “We’re excited to see your faces, feel the energy, and bring some good vibes to your city this fall. Let’s make some new memories!”
The trek is set to kick off September 21st in Atlanta, Georgia with dates confirmed through November 20th in Seattle Washington. Tickets go on sale to the general public June 4th.

Kenny Chesney Teams With Tipsy Scoop For Rum-Infused Ice Cream
Is there anything better than ice cream? Well, what about ice cream with booze in it? Well, you can thank Kenny Chesney for that option. Kenny’s signature Blue Chair Bay Rum, has teamed with “boozy ice cream experts” at Tipsy Scoop for a new line of rum-infused ice creams.
Available for order now, the line features four flavors – Dirty Banana ice cream, Mango Daquiri Sorbet, Piña Colada ice cream and Spiked Key Lime Pie ice cream. They are also bringing back their-non dairy version of the Piña Colada ice cream made with coconut milk.
Four packs are available for order now, and the flavors will also be available in stores while supplies last.

- Today in 1967, Barbara Mandrell married Ken Dudney. Barbara met Ken when he was hired by her family’s band, The Mandrells, as a drummer. They were married shortly after Ken received his wings as a Navy pilot.
- Today in 1988, Kathy Mattea’s single, “Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses,” was #1 for the second consecutive week. At the time, she was only the second female to accomplish the feat. Dolly Parton was the first, with “You’re The Only One” back in 1979.

Tim McGraw Doesn’t Forget What The Military Does For Us
Tim McGraw never forgets the men and women of our military who risk their lives to keep us safe. “We feel safe and secure with our family because of those guys,” Tim shares. “They put their life on the line.”
Tim adds that these brave men and women put their own families “on the back burner” in order to keep us protected, noting it’s because of them we “sit in our comfortable homes and we take our kids to a great school and we drive in our cars to places and we feel safe.”
