Reba McEntire is the latest artist to take part in Apple Fitness+ Time to Walk experience, and in her recording she discusses her taking back the reigns of her career following her 2015 divorce from Narvel Blackstock.

She said that after the divorce she realized there were “four people who were taking care of all of my business,” and they were all gone. In addition to Narvel, she was talking about her production manager and CEO who both left, and her father who died.

“So four men who were rock and pillars of my world were gone,” she says. “I started taking over signing the checks and then I started realizing how much water cost, and the electric bill, and all the things that was going on in my life.” Reba adds, “I made the money, I brought it home. So it was a huge, huge change for me.”

Reba says she also looked to God to help her get through everything she was dealing with, explaining, “And I would wait, and He would guide me. And so without my faith, I have no idea where I would be or my career would be, at this time today.”

She adds that advice she’d give people going through similar things as her is to reach out to friends who have your “best interests at heart,” adding, “you will survive.”

Like most musicians, the guys in Midland get inspired by other artists, but it’s not always country artists that inspire them.  In fact, Cameron Duddy says he was recently blown away by hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar, describing his concert as a “full-blown assault on my senses in the best way.

“It was visually stunning, musically his band was just untouchable and his performance was two hours of nonstop movement,” Cameron shares “And it made me feel like, wow, I can never complain again because this guy is doing it by himself.”

Taylor Swift just gave fans some exciting news. The singer announced that she’s pushed up the release date of “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

“Got some news that I think you’re gonna like,” Swift told fans. “My version of ‘Red’ will be out a week earlier than scheduled (including the 4 disc vinyl) on November 12th !” She added, “Can’t wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak album,” referring to the fact that 13 is her favorite number.

As you can imagine, Taylor fans were super excited to not have to wait until November 20^th for the re-recorded version of “Red.”

Blake Shelton fans are getting some new music tomorrow. The singer is set to drop the new song “Come Back As A Country Boy.”

“I think this song is an anthem for everyday hardworking country people out there,” Blake shares. “We have so much pride in who we are and what we do that, if we ever died and got the chance to live life over again, we probably wouldn’t do it if we couldn’t be country.”

The song, written by HARDY, Josh Thompson and Jordan Schmidt, will be featured on the upcoming deluxe release of Blake’s “Body Language,” which is due out December 3^rd. Fans can pre-order it starting Friday.

Alan Jackson reveals in an interview with “Today” that he was diagnosed ten years ago with the degenerative nerve condition Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

“I have this neuropathy and neurological disease,” Alan shares. “It’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy … There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious.” Alan says, “And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.”

While the disease does affect Alan’s performing, and there is no cure, it does not have an affect on his life expectancy. He notes, “It’s not going to kill me. It’s not deadly,” adding, “But it’s related (to) muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease.”

And even with his struggles, Alan isn’t planning to hang it up just yet. “I never wanted to do the big retirement tour, like people do, then take a year off and then come back,” he said. “I think that’s kinda cheesy. And I’m not saying I won’t be able to tour. I’ll try to do as much as I can.”
