JELLY ROLL GETS HIS FIRST CMA AWARD – AND BREAKS IT

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in a split second. Jelly Roll was on that rollercoaster ride Wednesday night at the CMA Awards. The country superstar opened the ceremony with his performance of “Need A Favor” with Wynonna; he closed the night with his performance of “Love Can Build A Bridge With K. Michelle. In between, he earned his very first CMA award for Newcomer of the Year. Those are some pretty lofty highs.

It would all come crashing down – literally. The singer apparently got a little careless with his CMA trophy backstage and dropped it. The trophy is made of crystal. You can guess the rest. A post to Twitter/X showed the damage, with the caption reading, “Guess who dropped and broke his best new artist #CMAawards? Yes, @JellyRoll615, but don’t worry, he will get a replacement. #JellyRoll”

KENNY CHESNEY ANNOUNCES 2024 TOUR

Kenny Chesney already has a lot of 2024 mapped out for himself, and for his fans. Yesterday the country star announced that he was hitting the road again next year for eighteen stadium dates. The “Sun Goes Down” tour will kick off April 20 in Tampa Florida and wrap up August 23 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Coming along for the ride next year: The Zac Brown BandMegan Moroney and Uncle Kracker. Kenny jumped on Instagram to make the announcement.

“I wanted a name that suggested – obviously – when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going. But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves. That was the thing about Uncle Kracker and my song. It captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly. No matter how much fun you’re having all day long, ‘everything gets hotter when the sun goes down…’ I know from years of experience that’s true. So, I can’t wait to get back out there, stadium-sized ’cause there’s nothing like 60,000 members of No Shoes Nation singing these songs. It’s gonna be awesome.”

Presale tickets are available next Monday, November 13, with general on-sale starting Friday, November 17. Check out Kenny’s website for tickets and info.
