If you don’t remember, last month Carly Pearce opened up about having a heart condition called Pericarditis.  It’s severe enough where she had to alter her upcoming stage performances in order to keep her heart rate under control.

Well, she just provided us an update on her Instagram.  She said, “For those of you asking, I’m getting better every day . . . I’ll be running around like my usual self before you know it.”

Carly also listed five things she’s learned since she was diagnosed with this condition:

1.  “You don’t have to over exercise every single day to feel good.”

2.  “Medication sucks!”

3.  “Walking is a great form of mental and physical exercise.”

4.  “Mindset is everything.”

5.  “Change is hard, but can be a really good thing.”

He’s 91, so it’s not totally unexpected. Willie Nelson is having to push back his appearances at his own “Outlaw Music Festival” on doctor’s orders. In a message on his official Instagram account, it was announced that Willie wasn’t feeling well, and would be taking four days off, while Lukas Nelson & The Family Band would be performing a set of Willie standards in his absence. The tour will go on as scheduled, with Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Celisse all playing as scheduled while fans and tourmates await Willie’s recovery and return to the tour.

When Kelsea Ballerini was young, she wanted to be a BALLERINA.  Seriously.  She even took some classes again a few years ago.

That said, she was always a “HARD NO” on ever dabbling in ACTING.

But now that she’s dating “Outer Banks” star Chase Stokes, she MIGHT be changing her tune a little.

She says, “I said no [to acting] because I’m so scared of failing . . . it’s the perfectionist in me . . . and then the last few years, I’ve just started running toward things that really terrify me.  So I’ll probably try it.”

It doesn’t sound like there’s anything in the works yet, but maybe she’d start off with something easy . . . like playing HERSELF.  She says, “I can’t picture anyone else [doing it].”

Country music veteran and 90s star Mark Chesnutt experienced a medical emergency over the weekend, ending up in the hospital and being forced to undergo emergency quadruple bypass heart surgery. In a post on Instagram, Chesnutt wrote “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming shows. I send my love and gratitude to my family and friends, the band and fans for your understanding, prayers and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon at a honky tonk near you.” For the last several years, Chesnutt has been dealing with a series of health issues, including needing back surgery and an unspecified issue that had him in critical condition last year.

It’s a nightmare no matter who you are – average people like you and me or a superstar like Carrie Underwood. The entire Fisher family was at their home in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee when a fire broke out Sunday that spread from a  UTV to the garage itself. The family and their pets all escaped without injury, and one reason was that firefighters were able to use a 10-thousand gallon water tank Carrie and husband Mike Fisher had installed on their property. Williamson County (Tennessee) Fire Rescue did share pictures from the emergency call, while Underwood’s people said of the fire that it was “quickly contained and there was no fire damage to the primary residence, and the family and their pets were unharmed.”
