ARRESTS MADE, STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED IN OTTUMWA

Arrests Made, Stolen Property Recovered in Ottumwa

(OTTUMWA, Iowa) – On April 4, 2018 at about 1:30 PM, the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office took a report of several items being stolen from a residence in the 18000 block of 74th Street west of Ottumwa, IA.

On Monday, April 9, 2018 Wapello County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at 9995 Old Agency Road east of Ottumwa. Deputies recovered a Honda four-wheeler, chainsaw and a gun safe. As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Cody Ehrenhard, 38, of Ottumwa. Ehrenhard was charged with Theft 2nd and Burglary 3rd, both a Class “D” Felony.  The suspect also had several arrest warrants, which he was also arrested on. Ehrenhard is being held in the Wapello County Jail in lieu of $21,400.00 bond.

Deputies also arrested Cindy Ehrenhard, 35, of Ottumwa. Cindy Ehrenhard had a Wapello County arrest warrant for Trespass and was transported to the Wapello County Jail. She has since been released from jail after posting bond.

-This information was received from the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office and all criminal charges are an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
