Six more people in Iowa have died from the coronavirus, bringing the total as of Tuesday (4/14) to 49. Information about the latest victims has been slow in coming from the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Closer to home, three people in Jasper County and two from Wapello County have now tested positive for COVID-19.  This makes a total of 15 positive cases in Jasper County since the pandemic began and seven in Wapello County.  Statewide, another 189 positive cases were reported Tuesday for a total through the pandemic of 1899.  It was also reported Tuesday at 481 people in Iowa have tested negative for the coronavirus.
