JELLY ROLL GETS HIS FIRST CMA AWARD – AND BREAKS IT

From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in a split second. Jelly Roll was on that rollercoaster ride Wednesday night at the CMA Awards. The country superstar opened the ceremony with his performance of “Need A Favor” with Wynonna; he closed the night with his performance of “Love Can Build A Bridge With K. Michelle. In between, he earned his very first CMA award for Newcomer of the Year. Those are some pretty lofty highs.

It would all come crashing down – literally. The singer apparently got a little careless with his CMA trophy backstage and dropped it. The trophy is made of crystal. You can guess the rest. A post to Twitter/X showed the damage, with the caption reading, “Guess who dropped and broke his best new artist #CMAawards? Yes, @JellyRoll615, but don’t worry, he will get a replacement. #JellyRoll”
