Blake Shelton Began Resenting Touring In 2012

Blake Shelton recently announced a new 2021 tour, but it sounds like fans are lucky he’s still interested in hitting the road.

During an interview on Kalleigh Bannen’s “Today’s Country Radio,” Blake admits that in 2012, when he was only in his second season of “The Voice,” he was so busy it made him sour on the idea of touring.

“I was touring full time, or as much as I could, and it became too much, it was too much for me personally,” he shares. “I mean, there was never a day off, it was just crazy, and I started resenting touring a little bit,” noting that he was “not enjoying it anymore.’”

Eventually Blake learned to better juggle his schedule, and cut back on how many shows he did a year, explaining that it has “kept me so excited about when I go on stage now,” adding, “it’s something that I look forward to, I really do.”
