Brad Paisley Surprises Best Friends With A Call, Beer & More

Brad Paisley has treated two friends whose recent social media post went viral to quite a huge surprise.

Amid the protests over racial injustice and the George Floyd killing, the two buddies, Benjamin Smith, a white man, and Marcus Ellis, a black man, recently shared a photo of them chilling in the driveway of Smith’s Rochester home, with a message of peace that simply read, “black or white, relax and have a beer.”

The photo soon went viral, thanks to a report on the local CBS affiliate, which is how Brad got wind of it and he decided to reach out to the pair. He had hundreds of dollars worth of beer from AJ’s Beer Warehouse sent to them this weekend, and then got on a virtual call with the pair. Brad also performed his latest single for them, the very appropriate “There’s No I In Beer.”

“Man, I am so thrilled to meet you, face to face like this,” Brad said. “I’m so inspired by you, and we thought we should deliver more beer than you could possibly drink. This is going to be a popular destination on this street.”
