Starting Wednesday (4/15), the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa will accept applications for pet adoptions.  The shelter has been closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Shelter Director Terry Gott says you’ll have to fill out an application to adopt a pet.

“If the people (applicants) are from a county that has a lot of cases of the COVID-19, we’re not going to accept any applications or do any meet and greets or adoptions from those counties.  Just to keep our staff here safe.”
