Brooks & Dunn are working on new music. While their last few albums have been collaborative efforts with country superstars on hits from their catalog, it seems the duo, who have been successful songwriters even before they broke through, are returning to their strengths. On “CBS Mornings,” the duo revealed that they’re currently hashing out what their next album will look and sound like. In the interview, Ronnie Dunn said, “We’re compromising right now, we’re working on a new record. You talk about the ultimate compromise. As songwriters, we’re firing stuff back and forth, you know, we’re criticizing one another’s music, that’s the holy grail, right? I want all my songs on there, he wants all his songs on there. So we have to work that stuff out. And you sweat and bleed every word.” No word on when we’ll hear the results of their songwriting process.
