While country music fans may consider bypassing the VMAs, there’s at least one reason they may want to tune in this year. The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and one of the evening’s highlights is expected to be a tribute to Dolly Parton, featuring Kacey Musgraves. Other than announcing it would happen, no other details have been released about the performance. The VMAs air this Sunday on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+ starting at 7:30pm ET.
