It’s opening night for some eight-man high school football teams in the area.  Friday night’s (8/23) schedule has Montezuma at Southeast Warren and Twin Cedars hosts English Valleys.

Meanwhile, other high school football teams will be having dress rehearsals Friday night.  In scrimmages that we’re aware of: Oskaloosa will scrimmage at Ottumwa, Sigourney-Keota at Davis County, EBF hosts Centerville, Lynnville-Sully is at Belle Plaine and Pella Christian hosts Des Moines Christian. All those are scheduled to start at 7pm. Also, the Oskaloosa High football team is asking for donations of Gatorade and sports drinks for Friday’s scrimmage.  You can drop those off by the team buses in Ottumwa.
