Racing fans in Oskaloosa will have to wait another week for the season to start at Southern Iowa Speedway. Tuesday’s (4/2) scheduled Caleb Hammond Memorial Race has been postponed because the track is not in good condition. Caleb’s memorial race has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 16 during the Southern Iowa Fair. The Kraig Ford/Pella Motors season opener will now be on Wednesday, April 10 with hot laps starting at 7pm. Remember, you can hear coverage of races at Southern Iowa Speedway on KBOE-FM all season long.

Midland’s New Video Filmed On the Set of “The Ranch”

MIDLAND got pretty creative with their “Mr. Lonely” video. It starts with a fake old school “chat line” commercial with a pretty girl waiting for your call.
And then it cuts to a bunch of cowgirls line dancing in some club. And if the club looks familiar, it’s because they filmed it on the set of the Netflix show “The Ranch”.
By the way, the fake commercial has a phone number that flashes on the screen . . . and if you call it you’ll get asked if you want Midland tickets, merchandise . . . “or just some company.”
While we’re on the subject. Midland guitarist JESS CARSON and his wife Camille welcomed their third child on Wednesday. It’s a girl they named Rosalia Jean. Their other children are 22-month-old Parker Emmanuel, and Ida Mae who is three.
Country Stars Lend Their Voices to Animated Tom Sawyer

- Today in 2000, TNN premiered the animated movie, “Tom Sawyer.” Rhett Akins was the voice of Tom Sawyer, Lee Ann Womack provided the voice of Becky Thatcher, Mark Wills was Huck Finn and Waylon Jennings was Judge Thatcher. Marty Stuart provided the voice for the zealous Reverend, television veteran Betty White voiced Aunt Polly, while film and television icon Don Knotts had the perfect voice for the befuddled Mutt Potter.
