Mickey Guyton is officially engaged! Guyton shared the happy news on Instagram Wednesday afternoon (11/9), posting a picture of her diamond engagement ring resting on a pink journal that had the words “Can’t Even” printed on the cover. In the caption for the photo, Mickey said, “I’m not one to really talk about my relationship because I can be pretty private when it comes to matters of my heart. But here we are and this took me completely by surprise.” She then gushed, “It’s not about finding the perfect person. It’s about finding someone that you can go thru heaven and hell with.”

Sentencing Set For Iowan Who Crashed Into Loaded School Bus

MANCHESTER, Iowa (AP) — A January sentencing has been scheduled for a man accused of being drunk when his vehicle ran into a loaded school bus near Manchester in eastern Iowa.

Court records show 42-year-old Monte Klink pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-offense driving while intoxicated and to two counts of causing serious injury by vehicle. His sentencing date is Jan. 18.

Authorities say Klink failed to yield at an intersection near Manchester on Oct. 1, 2015, and his sport utility vehicle collided with a West Delaware School District bus.

Authorities say all 32 students and the drivers were taken to a hospital. The students ranged from kindergarten through 12th grade. Most suffered minor injuries, and none had life-threatening injuries.

Post-Season Tripleheader At PIR

There are more than one hundred drivers entered across NASCAR’s three national series for this coming weekend’s tripleheader at Phoenix International Raceway. At this point of the post-season, just three are certain they’ll be racing for a championship the following weekend in Miami. In the Sprint Cup Series, Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson have advanced by virtue of victories in the semifinal round of the Chase. Six drivers remain in contention for the final two spots, with Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch – both former champions – likely facing a must-win situation to move on. In the inaugural Truck Series Chase, Johnny Sauter has swept the first two races in the Round of Six and will seek his first championship next week in Miami. Five drivers are left to battle for the three other spots. And in the X-FINITY Series, six drivers are currently in the mix for a berth in The Championship Four that will head to South Florida for the November 19^th season finale.

On this day in 2004, Josh Turner flagged down his first Platinum Album for Long Black Train. The album was the debut album for Turner and produced three singles with “She’ll Go on You”, “What It Ain’t”, and the title track “Long Black Train”.

Streaming From Seacrest Studios – Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts were in Nashville on Monday (11/7) to visit patients and families at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. During their visit, the trio met with the hospital’s patients and also performed some of their biggest hit songs, including “Fast Cars And Freedom,” “God Bless The Broken Road” and “I Like The Sound Of That.” Making Rascal Flatts’ visit even more special was the fact that it was streamed live to four other children’s hospitals nationwide, including Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, and Washington D.C.

The trio’s visit had a total reach of more than 2,000 patients and marked the first time a performance has ever been broadcast from Seacrest Studios.

GOP Wins Iowa Senate, Controls Both Chambers

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Republicans have won a majority in the Iowa Senate, giving the GOP control of both legislative chambers and the governor’s office.

By winning control of the Senate in Tuesday’s election, Republicans now are better positioned to move ahead on a conservative agenda backed by Gov. Terry Branstad. For years, Senate Democrats have blocked Republican initiatives on a range of issues, including same-sex marriage, gun control and abortion restrictions.

The 100-member House and 50-member Senate haven’t been controlled by the same party since the 2008 and 2009 sessions, when Democrats held majorities in both chambers. At that time, a Democrat, Chet Culver, also held the governor’s office.

On this day in 2006, Kellie Pickler’s debut album, Small Town Girl, debuted at number one on the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, selling more than 79,000 copies in its first week in stores. The album produced three singles, “Red High Heels”, “I Wonder”, and “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind”. Those singles helped make Small Town Girl become Certified Gold by the RIAA.

A controlled Natural gas blow-off will be conducted South East of Oskaloosa tomorrow morning, November 9, around 9:00 a.m. for maintenance purposes. This action will create a loud “whistling” that will sound like a leak. Darius Rucker Weighs In On His Name Being Mentioned In Leaked Email

As the 2016 presidential election comes to a close tonight (11/8), Darius Rucker is weighing in on the recent news of his name being mentioned in a leaked email related to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. At the time the news broke, The Daily Caller reported that leaked emails from Clinton’s State Department staffer Capricia Marshall showed that she and a man named John Sykes asked figure skater Michelle Kwan and Big Machine Label president Scott Borchetta to convince Rucker to endorse Hillary.

· Ultimately, Darius never publicly endorsed Clinton for president and in a recent interview with Taste of Country, he said he was “shocked” to find out his name had been mentioned in one of the leaked emails. Rucker said, “I’m just not in politics. It wasn’t that I’m not supporting this person or that person, it’s just that I didn’t want to get involved in politics, and here I am being brought in.”

The 2016 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup moves from Texas to Arizona, with the final race in the Round of Eight coming up Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway. The eight-driver field will be trimmed to four following the Can-Am 500. Chase participants have won this race in ten of the twelve years it’s been run as part of NASCAR’s “post-season” format. The only non-Chase competitors to win the fall race at P-I-R during that stretch are Kyle Busch in 2005 and Kasey Kahne in 2011.

► Seven of the eight drivers remaining in the semifinal round of the Chase have won a Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway: Kurt and Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth. Joey Logano’s best finish there is third on two occasions, most recently in this race last year … Dating back to November 2012, Harvick has won six of the last eight races contested at P-I-R – including this year’s first stop on March 13^th … So far this fall, all eight post-season races have been won by drivers on the original Chase Grid. The best finish by a non-Chase competitor is Brian Scott’s runner-up effort at Talladega Superspeedway sixteen days ago, when he finished second to Logano.
