Tim McGraw is currently in the studio working on the follow up to his 2014 record ‘Sundown Heaven Town,’ and he tells CBS News exactly where he’s at in the album building process, “We started working on it a couple of weeks ago, so we’re right in the thick of it now… over the next couple of weeks I will be working in the studio a lot, putting a lot of touches on the record.”

Tim McGraw is facing criticism from gun-rights advocates for headlining a show benefitting Sandy Hook Promise. McGraw has responded saying, “As a gun owner, I support gun ownership. I also believe that with gun ownership comes the responsibility of education and safety – most certainly when it relates to what we value most, our children. I can’t imagine anyone disagrees with that.”
