On this day in 1952, Country Music Hall of Famer Hank Williams made his last recording, “Your Cheatin’ Heart”. The song topped Billboard’s Country & Western Chart for six weeks, and sold over a million units. Williams died January 1, 1953.

On this day in 1951, Hank Williams took his tune “Hey Good Lookin'” to the top of the charts. The song would go on to be covered by many artists, and in 2001, Hank’s version was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
