Iowa Gas Prices On Par With Nation

OSKALOOSA — Average retail gasoline prices in Iowa have fallen 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.83/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 2,036 gas outlets in Iowa. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $1.97/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Areas nearby Iowa and their current gas price climate:

Quad Cities — $1.76/g, down 2.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $1.78/g.

Des Moines — $1.89/g, down 4.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $1.93/g.

Omaha — $1.85/g, down 2.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $1.88/g.

Including the change in gas prices in Iowa during the past week, prices yesterday were 13.9 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 17.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
